Dear Aishwarya, Dear Ann,
I too, want to join the queue and congratulate you on creating your most
recent 3-D artworks.
A cooment about the message from Ann. Ann was inquiring about your access
to a 'swell machine', not a 3-D printer. A swell machine 'prints' tactile
drawings. It would be fantastic if, in addition to say, your beautiful 3-D
pyramid, you could show children a 2-D drawing of the pyramid. Such pairs:
3-D object and a 2-D drawing of the same object make an ideal educational
resource introducing learners with total blindness to tactile graphics. I
hope to meet you at the Empower 2022 conference. I will not bring a 'swell
machine' but I will have some samples of drawings. I'll try to produce and
bring a tactile drawing of your pyramid.
I know that some kind of exhibition of tactile graphics will be organized
in Delhi before the Chennai conference. I don't know if it is going to be
open to general or limited to a group of specialists - I can find out. I
was invited to present some of the 'Hungry Fingers' resources. If not in
Delhi, then I am sure that a swelling machine will be available at Empower
2022 so if Ann's offer to design some graphics for you is still open,
perhaps we could produce them in swell paper in Chennai?
Warm regards
Bob
