I have only seen this feature available via Word 2007 and 2010 when there's
an OCR package installed on the computer like Kurzwiel. Then it's located in
the ad-ins tab on the ribbon.

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Scanning in Office 2010
Trainers,
Older versions of Office could use a scanner to scan a document and put it
into Word. Can Office 2010 do that? Office supposedly has scanning software
and you use JAWS and it goes into Word, but I have not been able to find it.
Thank you,
Jan Brandt
