Yes, you can use Chrome with Jaws. See the Google Chrome help
page at:
http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96831
Or do a search on Google for Chrome accessibility with Jaws and
you'll find lots of information.

I don't like the Google Toolbar. I have used Chrome a little
bit. Last I heard, it actually runs in Mozilla Firefox. I know
JAWS has a history of working with it, and I think it has its own
screen reader but that was several months ago. I would have to
check with Freedom Scientific again or try NVDA.

Can you bypass the Favorites Bar in IE9 and simply "Add to
Favorites" by pressing Alt + A?
This may or may not help. I was hurrying too fast when I updated
Adobe Flash Player, and accidentally installed the Google Toolbar
add-on in IE9.
This caused me to be unable to open links, especially if they
were incorporated in Email messages that I had chosen to view
online. I had to uninstall the Toolbar from the Control Panel.
I assume Chrome might have a universal issue with links, since
the Toolbar does, but I'd like to know.
I'd be interested to know whether anyone has had any luck at all
with Google Chrome and JAWS. My supervisor commented that he
thought it was accessible.

Hello All:
My name is Therese and I have been a lurker on your list for some
time now.
I am not an assistive technology trainer but the person who helps
others find you all.
Recently, I have been having issues with my laptop. It is nothing
critical just more annoying. I figured I would pose the question
and see if any of you have suggestions.
A few months back, I was having difficulty with my favorite bar
(adding to it). A friend and I attempted to reinstall Internet 9
hoping this would resolve the issue. No luck. We then decided to
try Google Chrome.
Yes, I understand that Google Chrome isn't very accessible for us
JAWS users, so let us not even go there.
Google Chrome did allow for me to add to my favorites bar. So at
least that problem was solved.
However another problem has reared its ugly head. Now I am unable
to click on a link within an e-mail, word document, excel
document, and the list goes on.
Researching information on the web, suggestions are to make
changes in the register. Neither I or friends feel comfortable
doing that.
Any ideas or do I just continue to cut copy the links? Or even
simply dump everything on the laptop and start all over from
ground zero. That should be loads of fun too.
Thanks for any assistance.
Therese
