Both of these sites host mailing lists and have lots of tutorials, both 
written and in audio format, which I think you will find tremendously 
helpful.
I would also recommend Janet Ingber's excellent book covering using 
VoiceOver on the Mac, available in a variety of formats from National 
Braille Press
