[Trainer-Talk] Jaws, Braille Display only user

Hi Alex.
The trick is to figure out what will be most effective for this individual by using the keyboard on the display, assuming it has one, and the qwerty keyboard.
While I agree with Dr. Robinson about using speech as an augmetative communication, I think this would be a more advanced thing to teach. You indicate in your message that the technology has taken him as far as it can, what do you mean by that? Also, since you are only giving general information, it's rather difficult to point you or the student in the right direction. Each braille display set-up with JAWS has it's unique advantages and disadvantages.

Regards,
Scott

I am working with a student who is deafblind and his technology has taken him as far as it can. He needs to start working on a PC for some of his schoolwork. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.
