[Trainer-Talk] Best braille display

Hello.
I'm glad that you find the reviews helpful, I have access to these displays for my work, and I realize that others may not, so I'm happy to write them up and help out where I can.
Yes, the Beetle works natively on iOS 9, so you get a full 14 cells of braille with each panning of the display. I actually like this device now, but find that 14 cells is a bit short for me. That, however, is a personal preference.

Take care,
Scott

Hi Scott,

I just wanted to thank and commend you on these thoughtful and comprehensive reviews. I am an assistive technology specialist, and I found them very helpful. Most people including myself just don't find the time to go into this level of detail, and your writing is superb. I hope that firmware updates and iOS 9 have resolved some of the issues with the Beatle that you mention, particularly not being able to read a book comfortably because every other panning you are only going to get 4 cells. That's almost a deal breaker for me.

Good afternoon.
I am about to purchase a new braille display, but I am not sure which one to get.
I am looking at the one from H I M I S Inc. or the Variel ultra. Any thoughts?
