[Trainer-Talk] certification question

Thanks for asking the question as I too am curious. It seems to me that
certification will eventually become necessary. I am developing a just
description for a state web accessibility specialist and I do not expect to
include IAAP certification of either kind now, as I do not think enough
people have it yet. It seems that there is some debate about the IAAP group,
but they represent the industry players so it seems to me their
certifications will prevail in time. After all, I believe there is a call or
will be to evaluate the credentials of someone who asserts knowledge in
these areas.
Best
Jim

Subject: [Trainer-Talk] certification question
I'm curious if anybody is aware of their being any benefit to obtaining
certifications from the International Association of Accessibility
Professionals (IAAP.) they have two, the CPACC, which is apparently
non-technical and basic, and the WAS, which is intended for web designers as
well as for those who do accessibility testing. I am trying to break into
this latter specialty. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience to
share?
