I’ve been able to solve this by doing the following.
1. Press windows I to jump to settings.
2. Tab to System.
3. Press right arrow until you get to Gaming.
4. Press enter.
5. Tab to Enable Xbox Game Bar for things like recording game clips, chatting with friends, and receiving game invites. (Some games require Xbox Game Bar for receiving game invites.)
6. Make sure this is off by pressing space bar.
7. Close the window with alt f4.
This has worked for many of my clients that I work with and is one of the first things I turn off when setting up a new PC.
Hope it helps.

Asanda,
I have encountered this problem with JAWS several times. It seems to
happen randomly and it is positively maddening, totally bizarre and one
which I have no logical explanation for. For me closing and restarting
JAWS seems to make the problem go away, allowing the G key to work as it
should.
