David. Well said.
Put more simply.
A web browser is simply a set of clothes you will wear when you travel from home to wherever you go. Just like pants and shirts are different in color and style, they all have enough holes for our arms and lets to fit. Web browsers are no different with similar methods of using them.

Hi. I'm not sure I agree that having multiple browsers available on a system would be a significant challenge to users. I might be inclined to feel that way if, as an example, Chrome and Firefox had entirely different command sets for Web navigation with a screen reader. If we were talking about this topic twenty-plus years ago and we were comparing Internet Explorer, IBM Home Page Reader and PW Webspeak I'd agree that this could be quite a cognitive load for some consumers. While Chromium browsers and Firefox may be internally different, opening and navigating a Web page with today's screen readers is just about identical, regardless of what browser you use. This is true for opening a Web page, reading with arrow keys or using more advanced navigation, such as moving by headings, links, form controls, etc. Internally, screen readers might be using different configurations for Firefox as opposed to Chromium-based browsers but from the perspective of a user the actual navigation is nearly identical. One exception, of course, is the menu system but Web navigation is the same.
