[Trainer-Talk] Regarding Braile Embossers

Hello Jim,

I hope all is well.

I would look into the Index Basic D line of embossers. they are
supported by Humanware, I believe. The Index Basic D Version 5.0 is a
relatively modern embosser, and does its job very, very efficiently, and
very fast. It also does tactile graphics, but am not sure that is of
concern that much for you unless you want to emboss / look at Braille
charts and the like for your job. This embosser is fairly popular at my
worksight and our school district. the downside is that quite loud and
noisy, but it has Wi-Fi and bluetooth capability, so you may as well
make space in a closet or in an enclosed room where you don't hear the
noise, if you have that. they're not as expensive as they used to be,
and they have pretty much come down in price and for the kind of
performance you're looking at, it's a good investment though I wouldn't
be surprised to spend somewhere in the lovely tune of $3000.

Good luck with all of this and happy embosser-shopping!

I've done some googling, and I found something Anne Taylor wrote back in the early 2000's. Things have changed since then, so I thought I'd ask.
