Hello Brad. Thanks for this. Considering this has rarely come up, it didn't
occur to me to check the Zoom settings first other than making sure it was
set to 100%.
Glad this is an easy one to solve for sure.

This is a common issue, that pops up all the time.
I see this issue referenced repeatedly on other groups, and is the first
thing I would have looked for to resolve this situation.
I have always assumed that a sighted person has set the document view this
way for some reason, and it is always a problem for non-sighted screen
reader users.

Hello all. So, I just worked with someone who reported that they could not
navigate Word documents in sequential page order using the arrow keys. For
example, if he is at the end of page 1 in the document, pressing down arrow
would take him to page 3. Now, if he is at the beginning of page 3, pressing
left arrow will take him to the end of page 2, and things are okay that way.
First, I looked in the view settings to make sure that page layout is used,
and it was. I looked at other settings, even doing a Google search and a
Copilot query to ask how to resolve the issue, and all suggestions offered
did not work. I didn't want to go so far as reinstalling Office, but the
client was okay if that needed to be done.
In the end, the issue was choosing the 1 page button from Zoom settings in
the View tab. This did not seem obvious to me, so this is why I am sharing
this. If others have encountered something similar, please share your
experiences.
Thanks
