This is a report from Airline Transportation Access Conference that was

Association for Airlines Passenger Rights (AAPR)
Found out some interesting things from the newsletter that went out this
morning.
Remember these letters CRO! CRO stands for Conflict Resolutions Officer.
The CRRO is charged with amongst other things, being able to resolve and
re-mediate issues, that either the traveler or the flight crew is confused
about.
Put in place by the Department of Transportation. All disabled travelers
are advised to ask for a CRO if and when your access is being denied or
compromised.
Additionally, the TSA has what is called a PSS, Passenger
SupportSpecialist. The PSS is the go to person to mediate instances where the TSA is being
inappropriately conducting searches like people with guide dogs or medical
devices, etc.
Remember not all TSA are properly trained or aware of the tools that
people who are disabled use daily that is why the PSS is in place.
Also remember about the TSA Care Program which they have a hotline to call
72 hours prior to flying to have someone at the airport to assist you with
this information. Remember TSA and the Airlines themselves are 2 different
animals.
We hope to have this information up on our blog shortly and the
information on how to contact TSA on the www.nfbtravel.org website shortly.
