Some of the people that went on the trip to Utah last year, has stated they would like to go back and focus on the National Parks, at least one Park on the trip or more.
Well for those of you who do not know, El Yunque (which is pronounced yu-ke) is not only the United States only Natural Rain Forest, it is also part of the United Station National Parks, and UNESCO (The United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture).
I will in general be posting about Puerto Rico on facebook under Echevarria Travel, on my blog www.echevarriatravelblog.com and I will be having Narcisco Moreno, my business development manager, from the tri-state on the Echevarria Travel Show either in June or August to talk about Puerto Rico, and I may also ask Alpidio Rolon at National if he would be willing to come on as well to discuss Puerto Rico as well, if you are not sure who Alpidio is, he is the President of the NFB of PR.
There are also deserts in PR, beaches, history, Taino Indians, which my mother in law was part Taino, and part African descent. Also, Nelson is part Spanish from Spain.
So, just some ideas of what to do and see in PR, besides the food, music, and more!
It is a little larger than Long Island, and we can do a few cities in a few days.
Please give your other thoughts, on these. I will post about Austin, Texas since Peter Donahue had mentioned this, as well.
So, give us ideas of where we should go for 2015.
Tuesday, April 15th, is our next division meeting, we would like ideas posted before that time.
Thank you, please reply to travelandtourism at nfbnet.org
