[blindkid] ipod touch/nano/cell phones?

My son has an iPhone and has used an iPod touch (I'm now the proud owner of
his iPod touch!). He absolutely loves them. He preferred the iPod touch to
the Nano--which also has talking menus--because it can do so much more. He
was actually able to send text messages with the touch (there's an app for
that). I'd highly recommend the off the shelf accessible devices over
devices that have to have special software downloaded to them. I don't have
a lot of experience with this but I did hear that when the new Windows
phones came out, they were not compatible with the voice software and it was
somewhat of a mess for those users. I know there are more off the shelf
accessible devices all the time but Apple products have worked well for my
son.
