[humanser] Human Services: GRE & JAWS

I ask that we consider the integrative models of contemporary
helping/healing professions. Each of us, whether psychologist, social
worker, pastoral counselor, psychotherapist, marriage and family counselor,
art therapist, pediatrician, pet therapist, family medicine practitioner,
music therapist, counselor, yoga therapist or otherwise, we are in the
business of human service. I think we are all working toward optimal health
for our patients or clients so, in this respect, we are, in fact in health
and human services. We work toward psychosocial, biological, psychological,
physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of those with whom we work.
Just a thought.
Genuinely,
Mary Tatum Chappell, Psy. D.

I say welcome to the health professionals, but keep the name the same
because the list is for human services; as much as I respect the medical
profession, and welcome their input, they aren't working in the human
services field.
Thanks:
 Justin.

Hello All,

I'm applying to graduate school to study Rehabilitation Counseling and to
take classes that will enable me to eventually become a LPCC. The first step
is to take the GRE.

It's my understanding that ETS uses their own adaptive software known as
Computer Voiced GRE. I don't know what to expect in terms of the efficiency
and functionality of this unfamiliar software. Please feel free to E-mail
me.

From,

Lisa Irving
