[nfbcs] Issue with Sounds in Microsoft Office 365

Hello Cathy:

I have not experienced this problem with Office 365, but I suspect there is
something not right happening on the system on which you are working. The
first thing to check is to find out whether, in c:\windows\media, the
Office97 folder has been create4d and whether it contains the appropriate
.wav files.

Next, I would go into Word > options > advanced and check the box which says
provide feedback with sound. If none of that works, it's time to bug
Microsoft over the phone<smile>.

I recently was upgrated to a new laptop. I cannot get the sounds to work in
Office 365. I was able to get the Sounds installed but when I go to Ease of
Access in options and check the sounds box, the sounds do not play. Any
Ideas?

 

Am using the newest version of JAWS 18, Windows 10, and the latest Ofice
365.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have done this several times and
this is the first time I cannot make it work.
