Hi Sherri,
Weather the birdcage has any visual importance or not to people who could
see, using it as a landmark in that article was pretty misleading.
Otherwise it was helpful info. The lower lobby relief area was easy to find
after the first try. Only time my dog messed up with the elavators was
during rush hour times and she kind of fell into "follow" mode a few times.
Not her fault she was following people who didn't know where they were
going. This event was an eye opener for me concerning my dog. I was
concerned as I have not traveled with her at all since I brought her home
almost four years ago. This was also the first time I traveled alone since
I totally lost my vision. She performed so much better than I expected her
to. Many people told me to bring a cane as there would be times when she
would be beat and to just let her rest in the room. Even with the stress of
the whole event every time I headed for the door of my room she was there
wagging her tail ready to go. I never ended up using the cane at all.
