There were legitimate reasons why there was a split in the 60's, and 
some of those reasons still exist.  At the most fundamental level the 
NFB sees itself as a National Organization with local parts, while 
the ACB sees itself as a bunch of local organizations that have a 
national representative when necessary.

What you ask sounds good in an idealistic kind of way, but it is 
asking the Democrats and the Republicans to become one.

It ain't going to happen!
