Hi,
I am unsure just how common this is but I have met three people over
the years that do not know what the letters "look" like.
I also know a lady in her 30's with a college degree that knows no
math. She can not even do percentages for leaving a tip.

I will be the first to agree math is really hard for the blind, but to
not have at least the basic math?

Now on the other hand my best friend has been blind since a toddler and
she can actually write and takes her own notes etc. Plus she knows math

I agree with you that this is sad.
Take Care,
Toni
