[NFBF-L] Update to our Legislative Alert

Dear Florida Federationists: 

 

Thank you to all who participated in our legislative alert yesterday.
HB7041, the Vote By Mail Bill, made it past the House Appropriations
Committee and will now go to State Affairs. While this is disappointing, we
will continue to show the opposition of the National Federation of the Blind
of Florida to any impediment to our right to vote privately and
independently. The Senate version of the bill, SB90, will go to committee on
Wednesday, April 14. If you have not already contacted your legislators, we
strongly urge you to do so. 

 

Please reach out if you need help, have questions or want a deeper
understanding of these bills and the damaging effect it will have on the
blind and print disabled ability to vote by mail.
