Hello NFB Family and Friends,

 

It’s time to register for Richmond Seminar! We, the NFBV, show up in mass,
and we make a difference. We are seen and we are heard! Please read below
and join us again or for the first time, experience Democracy in action! You
can live the life you want, blindness is not what holds you back!

 

The legislative priorities we will focus on this year are supporting secure
electronic voting options so blind Virginians may vote privately and
independently, advancing accessible autonomous vehicles in Virginia and
strengthening the paid work and hiring process for people with disabilities.
These priorities are still being finalized and they may change.

 

Mark your calendars: Monday, January 19, 2026 NFBV Board Meeting at the
Delta Marriott Richmond Downtown starting at 1 PM. Tuesday, January 20,
2026: Meetings with Senators and Delegates at the General Assembly Building.

Room rate is 157 dollars per night, plus a 10 dollar parking fee. The
Affiliate will reimburse your transportation and hotel costs, based on
double occupancy , if you choose to have a single room, the Affiliate will
reimburse ½ of the total hotel costs.
