I called the Hartford Blumenthal office and simply said,
I request that the Senator introduce a companion bill to..

Is that all I needed to say?

Also, I asked whether I should call Washington, she said I could but she was
putting it into the "system" and thus "they would have it"

Justin, I know you said to repeatedly call and email.  What is repeatedly,
did I miss appropriate email addresses and is her point well taken?

Nathanael:

I have always worked with his scheduling assistant and him directly.  Of
course, his scheduling assistant only helped make arrangements so he could
take me out to coffee, etc.  Meg only came into the picture when we met with
him at Washington Seminar.  That makes it easier to understand why she
hasn't responded to my volley of emails, though. 

If Bo remembers the name of the gentleman from Pomona College who grew up in
Farmington, with whom he had a lengthy discussion prior to our meeting at
Washington Seminar, he might be of help.  Otherwise, I don't have any leads
and say contact everyone in the office!

I am a person of the philosophy that repeated calls and emails from the same
person really do make a difference, too.  It shows that you're following the
issue closely.

I want to make sure everyone understands that we don't need Blumenthal to
SUPPORT HR 3086.  The "HR" part means it's in the House of Representatives.
We need our esteemed Senator to INTRODUCE A SENATE COMPANION BILL!  (It's
the same thing, but in the Senate.)

I called Senator Blumenthal's Washington office.  Unfortunately, Meg Benner
no longer works there.  I left a message with the gentleman who answered.
I'd recommend everyone do the same.  Have you worked with anyone else in his
Washington or Hartford offices we could try?
