Good Morning again everyone,
Congressman Larsons Senior Legislative Assistant, David Sitcovsky spoke
with me acknowledging my e-mail and recalling the February meeting. He then
stated that it was an oversight that the congressman had not signed on as
co-sponsor yet. Also, that the congress is out of session until September and
any action would have to wait till then. Of course that is just around the
corner so the fight continues.

Hi all,
I was fortunate to meet with Congressman Larson in February along with
Trevor, Betty and Bob and my husband George. He was attentive and shook our
hands saying that he would co-sponsor HR3086. I have e-mailed him in the
past and did so again this morning. I will call as well. Keep up the good work
everyone!

Rich and All,
Instead of leaving a message with the person who answers the phone or
another intern, I recommend contacting Congresswoman DeLauro's fellow who is
handling this issue: Matt Doyle. Ask for him immediately when her Washington
office picks up. You can also e-mail Matt at:
_matt.doyle at mail.house.gov_ (mailto:matt.doyle at mail.house.gov)
After asking Matt to let Congresswoman DeLauro know you want her to
co-sponsor H.R. 3086, you may also want to let him know that an intern with whom
you left this message may not be communicating this concern to the rest of
the staff.
Thanks for your patience and diligence.
Nathanael

Dear list serve participants (and those that receive these emails
from them),
As Justin said in his August 15th email, as we all boycott Goodwill
and prepare to demonstrate on Saturday, August 25, it is important
for us to remember that our final goal is the passage of the Fair
Wages for Workers with Disabilities Act to end an outdated practice
that is unfair, discriminatory, and immoral. Thanks to those who
have contacted Senator Blumenthal’s office requesting his support
by introducing a companion bill in the Senate.
To date, Congressman Joe Courtney is our only Congressman to
co-sponsor H.R. 3086, the Fair Wages for Workers with Disabilities
Act. We are asking members who are in other Congressional districts
to call their Congressperson urging their co-sponsorship of this
important legislation. Below is contact information:
Congressman Jim Himes office:
Emily Cardon, Legislative Correspondent
_202-225-5541_ (tel:202-225-5541)
Congressman John Larson Office:
David Sitcovsky, Senior Legislative Assistant
_202-225-2265_ (tel:202-225-2265)
Rosa DeLauro Office:
Matt Doyle
_202-225-3661_ (tel:202-225-3661)
Right or wrong as it may be, I think we’re all in agreement that
Chris Murphy isn’t focused on Congressional work at this point,
and we should wait until he may be elected to the Senate in November
to approach him for support.
Nathanael Wales has been in touch with Congresswoman DeLauro’s
office on a regular basis concerning this issue. However, we have no
one contacting Congressmen Himes and Larson. Members in their
districts are encouraged to make calls please. For more information
on this topic, visit website.
