The HR Consultant 1 position will serve as a Staffing and Labor Relations Consultant performing advanced professional level personnel management in the areas of both staffing and labor relations. This includes performing professional human resource consulting, advising, and recommending solutions in the areas of: classification, compensation, staffing, organizational analysis, performance management; labor relations and legal and policy compliance; analysis of complaints/grievances and conducting investigations on employee and labor relations matters. You will research and analyze information to create, revise, and implement agency employment policies and procedures; ensuring application of personnel rules, contract language, compensation plans, state and federal laws, MN statutes, and all required rules, regulations, standards, and procedures; preparing and conducting training on employment law and various human resource related areas. This position directly reports to the Labor Relations Manager and indirectly to the Staffing Supervisor.
