Join our collaborative staffing team at the Minnesota Department of Corrections! We offer free parking, flexible start/end times, and a family-friendly work environment.

Provide advanced professional-level human resource consulting services to managers and supervisors within the Department of Corrections (DOC) in the areas of job analysis and classification; organizational analysis and design; and recruitment, assessment, selection and compensation. Provide advice and guidance to the Human Resource (HR) Staffing Representatives in the above areas to ensure consistent and quality delivery of Staffing-related services.

Job responsibilities include:

- Provide advanced professional-level consultation in job analysis and classification by providing guidance and direction to the HR Staffing Representatives; completing complex/controversial job classification requests; reviewing and responding to classification appeals; facilitating and documenting Hay evaluations; leading DOC classification initiatives; and representing the DOC on statewide classification committees and groups.

- Provide guidance and leadership in the development of minimum and preferred qualifications and other assessment tools for DOC vacancies.

- Assist the Staffing Supervisor and/or Staffing Manager in completing various assignments and projects.

- Provide expert consultative services to DOC managers/supervisors in assigned account(s) and guidance to HR staff on the vacancy-filling process.

- Consult with and provide direction to agency HR staff, managers and supervisors on personnel and labor relations issues, primarily in the areas of job classification, compensation, recruitment, selection, layoff and recall processes.
