Our Team is Growing.  Come join the Labor Relations Team at Revenue!  This posting is eligible to work full-time in the office, a hybrid or full-time telecommuting schedule.

Labor Relations Consultants play a critical role in contributing to a positive employee experience at the Department of Revenue. The Labor Relations Consultant will provide support to the Labor Relations Manager in administering Revenue's labor and employee relations functions. This includes, but is not limited to, handling disputes, conducting investigations, and providing direction and training to managers and supervisors in the administration of labor agreements and employment plans. This position is also responsible for providing guidance and consultation to managers and supervisors regarding employee misconduct and other performance related issues and reviewing and updating HR policies

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level human resources experience

OR

A bachelor's degree plus one (1) years of full-time equivalent professional human resources experience.

All applicants must also minimally meet these additional required qualifications:

  *   Experience consulting with managers and supervisors
  *   Knowledge and experience applying relevant State and Federal Laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA
  *   Communications skills sufficient to explain sensitive, controversial decisions to staff and leaders in a clear and concise manner; ability to demonstrate courage and be willing to experience discomfort in uncomfortable situations
  *   Human relations skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective business partnerships and positive work culture
  *   Experience in conflict management, influencing leaders and staff, and problem-solving complex issues and system.
  *   Experience providing training and delivering presentations to managers and supervisors on HR practices and procedures
  *   Experience in promoting diversity, equity, access, and inclusion
  *   Advanced skills in Microsoft word, excel, and power point.
  *   Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
