This posting will be used to fill two vacancies. The position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and the position will have the option to telework; the employee will be required to complete a telework agreement.

Join our fast-paced staffing team! As a Staffing Representative, you will provide human resources guidance and consultation to managers and supervisors in the areas of classification, compensation, staffing, labor relations, and organizational analysis. Responsibilities include:

  *   Performing job classification for assigned accounts; and
  *   Providing selection and hiring guidance to assure compliance with applicable laws, rules, policies and collective bargaining agreements; and
  *   Consulting and providing guidance on the application of labor contracts and plans; and
  *   Leading and/or participating on various human resources special projects affecting the agency's business activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of professional experience (HR Spec 1 or higher) in Human Resources.

Applicants must also demonstrate:

  *   Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the state classification and compensation systems sufficient to audit and classify positions and consult managers and supervisors on compensation matters.
  *   Experience in full cycle hiring, selection and recruitment sufficient to advise managers and supervisors on selection strategies and recruitment long-term planning.

  *   Knowledge and experience conducting personnel management and industrial relations sufficient to consult with managers and supervisor on a wide variety of HR issues.

  *   Knowledge and experience interpreting personnel laws (M.S. 43A and M.S. 179), rules, policies, administrative procedures, and collective bargaining agreements sufficient to ensure appropriate application of the language and properly advise managers and supervisors on a variety of personnel matters.

A bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development or a closely related field substitutes for one year of professional experience.
