Provide Career Services and CareerForce information to job seekers through orientations, group instruction, and one-on-one assistance (online, over the phone and in-person) to ensure seekers are empowered to make informed career choices. This program prioritizes serving Unemployment Insurance Applicants, economically disadvantaged populations, Veterans, and youth. Provide career guidance consulting, assessments, and resources to job seekers and the summer youth program. Work closely with the Minneapolis public schools to support teachers and youth in job placement. Also, provide training on how to seek employment through job search classes, resume writing classes and other employment-related workshops both online and in-person. Provide resources, so job seekers have access to information and tools necessary to secure appropriate employment, and employers have access to tools and information to successfully recruit and retain employees. Also help businesses access services available to them and connect directly to the job seekers the program serves.
