Join the Health Operations Bureau at the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in this critically important and new leadership role. The Director of Organizational Wellness and Employee Experience is responsible for creating and leading strategic efforts designed to optimize the MDH workforce through an infrastructure that is supportive of organizational wellness.  This position will work closely with the Executive Office, the Health Operations Bureau, and Human Resources Management, to provide response to ongoing goals associated with the MDH HR Collaboration and Trust Initiative, expectations and behavior norms, Health Equity strategies connected to DEIB, the MDH Strategic Plan, and the Governor's One MDH plan.  The Director of Organizational Wellness and Employee Experience works under the leadership of the Assistant Commissioner of Health Operations Bureau to identify and implement strategies that increase alignment between MDH employee experience and core values and ultimately enhances the wellness of organizational relationships so that MDH can achieve an ideal service model.

Working as Director of Organizational Wellness and Employee Experience, you will:

  *   Fulfill a highly visible role that will facilitate wide-spread impact across the agency, including developing and coordinating policy and programs to improve performance outcomes.
  *   Help MDH clarify and care for its vision, mission, and values and is focused on work that improves the health of MDH's workforce and the well-being of its people, through gauging the total employee experience, providing solutions that will foster the fullest employee engagement, reach its highest experiential potential, and provides ongoing continuous improvement for defining accountability and respectful behaviors and attitudes throughout all people and programs.
