Greetings,

Happy New Years! I am writing to make you aware of open position(s) we are recruiting for here at the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI).  To give you an idea of who we are, CABVI is a non-for-profit comprehensive vision rehabilitation agency located in Utica, NY.  We serve individuals who are blind or visually impaired, from newborns to the elderly, generally free of charge. Our mission is to assist people who are blind or visually impaired to achieve their highest levels of independence. We have grown significantly over the last several years and expect continued growth. This growth enables us to provide more services and employment opportunities to individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

  *   Assistive Technology Instructor, (Utica or Syracuse, NY)
  *   BSC (Base Supply Center) Customer Service and Retail Sales Associate I (Groton, Connecticut & Kittery, Maine)
  *   Customer Relationship Manager, (Utica, NY)
  *   Production worker (Syracuse & Utica, NY)
  *   Shift Supervisor (DOT Call Center) ( Utica, NY)
  *   Switchboard Operator I (Lexington, Kentucky VA hospital)

We are looking for responsible candidates who have customer service and/or experience with assistive technology.

Benefits: CABVI offers a generous benefit package along with a family friendly work environment. We offer three health insurance plans to choose from along with dental and vision insurance. A retirement benefit through a 403(b) is offered to include employee and employer contributions. We also have paid time off, paid holidays, a fitness center available to all employees,  employer sponsored life insurance, as well as many other employee sponsored benefits. We also offer relocation assistance to those who qualify.
