Hi Cindy, I wonder if your feelings of self-consciousness come 
from that feeling of traveling alone.  You know, when walking 
with my dog, I'm always conscious of her presence at my side.  
It's not just the guiding part, and I don't know if I can explain 
it better.  Maybe someone more articulate than I am feeling at
