Hi,
Do you have a smart phone like an iPhone perhaps? If so, there are free apps that can read the list of ingredients on the back of packages to you, or can also scan the bar code and that can take you to the website to get the ingredients.
If you only have a computer, then just get the name of the product and do a google search for list of ingredients.
I have no suggestions for substitutes for those seasonings, other than an Indian spice called something like asafedita, which smells and tastes like onions and garlic but is not.

Hello!
I am so excited about this list/group!!  Smile!  I am Tammy Freitag and am very interested in learning ways to access ingredient listings forfood items.  I have health issues and food allergies  so it is imperative that I know what is in my food.  I look forward to learning how to cook with the following allergies:gluten, dairy, sugar, fructose peanut, egg & more. I also want to learn ways to season meats & vegetables because of allergies to garlic, onion& oregano.  Lol!  Yeah, I know this is a tall order!  Smile!
