Hi
I participated, on the fringe, in a weekend research project that is a
beginning to further research on adapting the white cane.

If you would like to participate by completing the survey Dr. Canavan
has developed, see link below. She is excited about the possibilities
and is really eager to get information from users of the cane. I told
her about my folding cane and I'm hoping you folks will tell her about
the long cane. Thanks, Coby

Friends-

I would like your feedback on the feasibility of using an adapted cane
that would alert you to obstacles at head height. The technology
would be mounted in the handle of the cane.

Here is a link to the Google form that I would like cane users to
complete for a project I am working on at the University of New Mexico
along with 5 team members..

Please feel free to forward it to other people that you think might be
willing and able to share their cane travel experiences with our team.

Thanks again!

Dr. Heather Canavan
