Public Information Officer
 
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking a
Public Information Officer.  This position will support all NMSBVI
departments by planning, organizing, and directing public relations
activities to enhance understanding of NMSBVI's mission, objectives, and
services.  This position interfaces with the NMSBVI Foundation, supporting
fundraising and public relations efforts and coordinating Foundation
activities and meetings.  Bachelor's degree or higher in communications,
education, or a related field.  Master's degree preferred.  Bi literate in
English and Spanish preferred.  Minimum of three years' experience as an
education or communications professional, with extensive writing and
speaking experience.  Experience as a school site leader or working with
school support organizations preferred.  This is a 12-month position.
