We at Heightened Independence & Progress (hip) are pleased to announce that Jerilyn Higgins has joined the staff of our Bergen County Center for Independent Living as Coordinator of Adjustment to Vision Loss services.   She will facilitate peer support groups, serve as a resource for the vision loss community and much more.  Jerilyn has a long, rich and varied history in the field of vision loss throughout New Jersey and beyond.  In addition to her other endeavors, she played a significant role in the statewide LEAD Program administered by hip for more than a decade.  Her pleasant personality and eagerness to support the ability to live life in an optimal manner will be evidenced by everyone who she encounters. We also wish success to Trisha Ebel who has moved on to a full-time position and thank her for her positive contribution to hip during her tenure at the agency.
