Janie Degenshein, Book Club Moderator has selected the book “Out of sight:
blind and doing all right” DBC03328; written by Schreiber, Art; Simmons,
Hal. Reading time is 2 hours, 0 minutes and is read by Michael Langer. A
production of New Mexico Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped,
New Mexico State Library.
Biography: A high level radio news broadcast exec at the top of his career,
Art awoke at a resort near Santa Fe, New Mexico, unable to see. Art's
refusal to give up and his struggle to live life to the fullest are
inspiring. His story is compelling in demonstrating courage, compassion,
and resilience in the face of tragedy. We are honored to have the author,
Art Schreiber, attending the call to answer any questions about the book.
