The Arc, Ocean County Chapter is excited to announce a new opportunity, in
partnership with the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, to
support 120 blind and vision impaired student enrollees in a program called
EDGE. EDGE (Employment, Development, Guidance, and Engagement) will support
both High School and College students in the transitioning into independent
living and career development, by offering both classroom instruction and
community-based, career-focused employment experiences. In addition EDGE
staffers will be working with a team of blind and vision impaired mentors,
to enhance programming by assisting enrollees to see that blindness and
vision impairment are not excuses for dependence, and no match for capable,
enthusiastic youth.



We are currently seeking to fill the following positions to support this
program.

   - Career Focused College Advisor-EDGE
   - EDGE Director
   - Employer Engagement Placement Coordinator-EDGE
   - High School Transition Coordinator-EDGE
   - Senior High School Transition Coordinator-EDGE



These positions will be community based with requirements to be on-campus
and on-site for scheduled meetings and workshops.
