The *National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program* is one of the
largest in the nation for blind students. Each year, the NFB awards *more
than $300,000 in cash and prizes* to recognize the academic achievement,
leadership, and professional aspirations of blind scholars.
Thanks to our generous partners, *thirty $10,000 merit-based scholarships*
are currently available. Scholarships are awarded based on *academic
excellence, community service, and leadership*. Finalists are announced
each spring and are invited to attend the *NFB National Convention in July*,
where scholarship recipients are selected. Finalists receive assistance to
attend the convention.
