Fellow Advocates:

 

On Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 12:30 p.m., the United States Attorney's
Office for the Eastern District of Virginia will be holding a civil rights
round table discussion with advocates for individuals with disabilities in
our Alexandria office.  Please plan to arrive 45 to 60 minutes early so that
you can go through my office's security.  This will give you time to
interact with other participants prior to the start of the formal program.
The formal part of the program will start at 12:30 p.m. during which I will
introduce Zach Terwilliger, the new United States Attorney for the Eastern
District of Virginia, make a brief presentation regarding the ADA legal
principles that apply in multiple settings and discuss some of the
highlights of the United States Attorney's Office's Civil Rights Enforcement
Program.  After my presentation, I will request information from all of you
on how our Civil Rights Enforcement Program has helped your community and
the current ADA issues that individuals you work with are facing.

 

Please let me know if you are able to make it and if you need any
accommodations.  Please RSVP to both myself and Jennifer Lucas, who works in
my office and is cc'ed on this email.  Please include the names, titles,
email addresses and phone numbers of those attending from your organization
in the RSVP.
