Hi all,

We will be resuming goalball practices every Saturday morning at the Columbia Heights Community center beginning this Saturday, September 7. Practice runs from 10 AM-1 PM, and the address is 1480 Girard St. NW. Whether you’re dusting off the rust from the summer or trying out the sport for the first time, this is a great time to check out what goalball’s all about!

The Catalyst adaptive climbing clinics are resuming for the fall as well, with the next clinic scheduled for Sunday, September 15 at 4:30 PM. If you’d like to participate, please email Judith Erger at judith at gocatalystsports.org<mailto:judith at gocatalystsports.org>.

Last but not least, we are planning a couple of hikes to take place in October and would like to get a sense of who is interested in attending. Our usual Great Falls hike, organized by Tori Kalinski, is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 19. And the following weekend we will be taking a trip up to Frederick, MD to check out a sensory nature trail on Sunday, October 27 at 11 AM. Here is some more info about the trail:

https://www.recreater.com/616/Sensory-Trail

We need a head count for both hikes to make sure we have enough guides and adequate transportation for the trip to Frederick. If you’d like to attend either or both events, please email me at karla.gilbride at gmail.com<mailto:karla.gilbride at gmail.com> and let me know.

That’s all for this edition of the newsletter. Until next time, have fun and stay active!

Karla
