[Ohio-Talk] Final Day to Register - 9.19 Hiring Event - Westlake

Good Morning Northeast Ohio,

I know that this is short notice. However, we have the info now. If you recall at the Town Hall, there was a gentleman from Cuyahoga Department of Developmental Disability, Jared Daily, who spoke on their employment initiatives. Well, he and I spoke this morning and I learned a lot of their efforts in aiding the disabled population to become employed. Therefore, he would like the blind to be included in this endeavor.

There is a hiring fair coming up. But, you must register by 2:00 today. I will register to learn more about there hiring events. Please register if you are able to attend and seeking employment. 

For the next year, we have been invited to the table so that the blind has accommodations at their four hiring events. This event is for all populations who have barriers to employment. If you have questions, call me off line at 216-990-6199. Also, if the registration process is not accessible, let me know so I can reach out to him.

Hey Everyone,

Our last hiring event of the year is scheduled for September 19th at Hyland (Building #3 – 28105 Clemens Rd. Westlake, OH 44145). Attached is the list of employers that are attending as well as the registration form. Due to Hyland security concerns we will not be able to let anyone in that isn’t registered from a job seeker as well as a staff perspective.

1.	Please complete “Hyland Registration 2019” form and return to WILLIAMS.DIANE at cuyahogabdd.org <mailto:WILLIAMS.DIANE at cuyahogabdd.org>  by September 12th at 2pm.

a.	We must get all names of attendees to Hyland by this date and time and 

                                                                                       i.      cannot accept same day registrants or late registrations

b.	We will submit the name of all provider staff that submit candidates as well so that staff may be admitted to accompany job seekers

2.	When Completing the registration form: 

a.	“Type” next to a box allows you to type in answer
b.	“Select” requires you to select from pre filled answers

3.	Job seekers and staff will not be admitted without professional dress (no jeans or t-shirts)

a.	Utilize our Goodwill Voucher Program in order to obtain professional dress

4.	We are asking all job seekers to arrive between 12:00pm and 12:45pm to check in and be ready for first interview

a.	Interviews will begin at 1:00pm
