[Stylist] My attempt at a short memoir essay

Memoir and autobio can have cross over. By definition, memoir is not usually about an entire life but it can be. Memoir is usually written with what people in the industry call artistry. Meaning, it uses creative techniques like scene and description, imagery/metaphor, etc. Memoir often is not told in a linear fashion, but it can be linear too. It often uses a personal story or stories to explore a bigger  truth. You also don’t have to “call someone out” in order to write memoir. You can write reflections about the world around you, seeking a universal truth that doesn’t have to be negative about other people. You also don’t need a dramatic story. You just need the desire to write and be able to write openly and honestly about yourself and the world around you.
