[Trainer-talk] Internet Issues

I have to agree. While Internet Explorer has been relatively stable for
many years version 8 has proven to be an exception, at least on some
computers. It crashes often and wants to send the error report. While
it could be an issue with JAWS I would bean toward blaming IE rather
than the screen reader. It is true that older versions of JAWS behave
poorly with new versions of IE, particularly when trying to read items
contained with combo boxes. Therefore, if you're going to use IE8 I
would make sure you're using a current or at least recent version of
JAWS. I also agree that Firefox is far more reliable; I could count on
one hand the amount of times it has crashed. Of course, I am not sure
which versions of JAWS won't support the latest version. NVDA, the
free, open-source screen reader will work with both IE and Firefox.
