Subject: [Trainer-Talk] curriculum and training sources
Hi all,
Are there any curriculums for teaching jaws and basic windows concepts? If you use one, how do you like it? Do you pick and choose lessons or follow it in order?
The last student I had, I focussed on the internet as that is what she wanted. But the next student is new to jaws. We will begin with reading commands of course and basic commands to navigate windows such as how to get to and navigate the desktop. I’m creating activities to practice with. Are there any practice materials out there though? I suspect not. When I was trained with jaws, the instructor came with their own activities; usually articles to read and edit; for instance they might have an article on a president and I’d practice bolding and underlining different words as well as copy/cut/paste in the file.
I can certainly create materials, but would not want to totally re-invent the wheel if stuff exists already.
Thanks.
Ashley
