Something else to consider......
You need to make sure that the model of your computer is compatible with
Windows 10.  I currently own an HP SmartTouch and it has Windows 7 on it.
When Windows 8 came out, Tech Support at HP told me not to upgrade to the
new version because the features of the model I had wouldn't work.  They
said they would contact me whenever they have resolved the issues so I
stayed with Windows 7.   (I never did hear from them.)
I know HP is working with Microsoft to make sure that they make all of
their models compatible and have provided links (right in your task bar)
that will enable you to register for a free copy and then they will contact
you when the new operating system can be downloaded onto your system.   Not
sure if the other computer companies are doing the same thing.
