Good morning, all.
I've received some encouraging news on H. R. 431, the House version of the Access Technology Affordability Act. This week the bill has gained four new co-sponsors, bringing the total to ninety-five. Unfortunately, none of those four are from Connecticut. We need to have representatives Joe Courtney, Jim Himes, and Jahana Hayes join John Larson and Rosa DeLauro as co-sponsors. We also need senators Blumenthal and Murphy to co-sponsor the senate version, S. 212.
I sent an e-mail earlier this week with contact info for all of our legislators. If you need assistance contacting a representative or senator, or if you have questions about the bill, feel free to reach out to me. Also, I failed to mention earlier that when you send an e-mail, please copy Jeff Kaloc, jkaloc at nfb.org, mailto:jkaloc at nfb.org, on the message. It would also be good to copy Maryanne and myself.
Thanks for all the work you do.
